DESCRIPTION: 

The Controller has the overall responsibilities of all accounting & compliance matters for a set a Legal Entities within 1 or multiple countries.   
The Controller will be located in and working from the Share Service Center in Kunshan and will primary report functionally to the Country Manager & Financial Controller, Greater China.

How you will Contribute:

•    Lead the month end, quarter end and year end closing & reporting under US GAAP following financial standards and procedures of IFF.
•    Lead the statutory reporting including the annual statutory audit activities.
•    Support the IFF Corporate Tax on the various tax returns and filing.
•    Support the tax audits and the government inspections from finance and accounting perspective.
•    Work with the internal / external auditors and internal control functions to ensure internal controls are in place including the SOX compliance.
•    Establish the proper governance to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of controllership function within the Shared Service Center. 
•    Collaborate with the Global Shared Service Function to execute further transitions while supporting or driving the processes integration, standardization, and improvement.
•    Build up the resources and retain the talents required for the controllership function.
•    Manage a group of accountants while providing proper training, support, and guidance.
•    Working with other internal functions and any ad hoc requests supporting the business.

CORE COMPETENCIES:
•    Strong computer/systems capability 
•    Proficiency in finance & accounting - Tax is a plus
•    Strong communication and networking skills 
•    Consciousness of control and business ethics environment
•    Drive for results, Problem solving, Customer Focus, Strategic Agility
•    Strong team leadership skills

 QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Education: University Accounting, Finance or Economics degree.
•    Experience:   8 + years finance / accounting leadership experience ideally in a similar role
•    Certified Public Accountant, ACCA, CIMA is a plus
•    Fluent in English – a second foreign language is a plus

•    Open to travel upon request
