This position will be responsible for developing programs that will improve the reliability of our equipment and to assure that our plant is within regulatory compliance. The maintenance supervisor will oversee the day to day activities of maintenance technicians. They will also be responsible for the condition of the facility and maintaining within the departmental budget. This will be a working role with a 60/40 floor time. Must be able to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems in a food production environment. Must have a working knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Knowledge in basic repair of conveyors, pumps, motors, and mechanical drive systems. Must have experience performing PM’s, major over-hauls, modifications, fabrication, welding, and medium level electrical repairs. Will be expected to generate purchase requisitions and service requests.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in the chemical, petrochemical, pharma, or similar process industry
  • Working experience (minimum of 2 years) with computer software programs: process control systems, word processors, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet usage, etc
  • Math skills are essential in the function of this position to include multiplication and division
  • Proven ability to multi-task, good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing facility
  • Previous leadership role in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/communication
  • Technical knowledge of operating within a food manufacturing facility
  • Change management and leadership skills to drive results and accountability
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting
  • Lean manufacturing tools
  • Project management/CMMS Management Skills 


Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant field
  • 5 years working experience in a food manufacturing company working with computerized process control systems
  • Working experience using software programs: SAP and Process Control Systems
  • Previous leadership role in a manufacturing environment
