Customer Services Representative

The Customer Service Department (CSD, division Taste) is a professional team of 14 Customer Service Representatives. CSD supports superior customer care and service for assigned customers by being the point of contact for orders, complaints, and related customer requests. This is done through accurate follow-up on orders and related communication which contributes to good On-Time Performance, low external non-conformances, and good Sales performance. We are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our talented team on a full-time basis.  

About You


To be successful in this role you must have at least 2 years of working experience in a similar position. A Bachelor's degree is required. The ideal candidate is customer-oriented and has the ability to work under pressure and deal with people at all levels and cultural diversity. You are a team player. You have excellent communication skills and you work accurately. Being a problem solver is key. For this particular open position, we are looking for someone with excellent skills in English and Dutch and good skills in French (verbal and written).

Key responsibilities 


  • Receive and load orders in SAP;
  • Monitor the order fulfillment process and provide proactive communication on any bottlenecks or potential delays;
  • Being accountable for order-related customer communication;
  • Liaise closely with all concerned departments to try to resolve the bottlenecks;
  • Load and coordinate customer complaints and credits notes in a timely and professional manner;
  • Build excellent relationships with key contacts at the customer and in the different departments in the IFF organization.


Required Skills 


  • Bachelor degree in Commercial Economics, Logistics or Business administration;
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent skills in English and Dutch, good skills in French (verbal and written)
  • Customer ownership and Customer Focus; is dedicated to meeting the customer requirements and expectations;
  • Accurate and good administrative skills;
  • Knowledge about payment terms and Incoterms is preferred.
