You will join International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF), one of the largest producers of flavors and fragrances worldwide. About the role 

 

This allround role has a wide range of planning and logistics tasks and is responsible for production planning & shop floor and delivery controls of both internally and externally produced products. 

 

To succeed in this role you ensure a smooth running of the daily operational activities related to the supply chain in the department. The ultimate goal is to supply our customer both internally and externally in accordance with the agreed agreements. 
  

Production planning 

  • Timely conversion of planned orders to production orders and linking these to sales orders; 
  • Create purchase orders for affiliates based on their requirements for materials in planner’s scope; 
  • Incorporate all possible blending opportunities for both raw materials and finished goods per production order; 
  • Combine production orders within agreed plan parameters; 
  • Communicate and (pro-actively) act upon any material shortages or production delays in cooperation with Customer Service, Production, Quality Control and raw material planning departments; 
  • Controls production capacity and determines when to outsource; 
  • Daily follow up of New Product Introduction tool (NPI). 

 
Shop floor control 

  • Adjust production orders for any new blending and combination opportunities; 
  • Release production orders for production, including printing and collecting all shop floor papers and labels. Ensure any special work instructions are taken into consideration; 
  • Manage the factory workload (Work in Process or WIP) in cooperation with production supervisors; 
  • Create deliveries and if required adjust these based on feedback production supervisor; 
  • Convert Transfer Requests (TR) to Transfer Orders (TO) for the Warehouse department to ensure on time availability of raw materials for production; 
  • Resolve SAP error’s (COGI’s) on a daily basis. 

  

Manage planning parameters and material master data 

  • Collaborate with Master Planner EAME to continuously revise and optimize master data and planning settings / processes. 
     

Job Requirements

 

What do you bring:

• Bachelor degree in Business Economics, (Technical) Business Administration / Supply Chain management / Logistics; 
• 1-2 years appropriate experience; 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; 
• Fluent in Dutch and English language.

 

Preferred
• Experience in the flavor, fragrance, food, consumer products industry.
