We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our AWS Technology Team as Summer Intern. In this role, you will assist in our ongoing efforts to leverage the latest technology to enhance the quality of life for people everywhere. You will be prototyping and showcasing ML solutions deployed on AWS platform.

Your technical expertise and hands-on experience with AWS services, and others, will enable you to build and deploy innovative solutions that deliver actionable insights and drive meaningful business outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including cloud architects, software engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that the cloud solutions you develop meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design blueprints or architectural patterns comprising of tools and technologies to quickly deploy machine learning, LLM solutions on AWS.
• Analyze complex datasets, rigorously benchmark developed methods, explore, and interpret model results.
• Troubleshoot operational issues regarding model deployment and performance.
• Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to understand and articulate machine learning use cases clearly and translate requirements into innovative solutions.
• Regularly contribute to enhancing existing cloud solutions by:
• Contributing to deployment, usage, and support documentation of the solution.
• Improving code artifacts, build, deployment, standard operating procedures
• Reducing run cost of overall solution.
• Detecting deviations and enforcing company-wide standards to ensure solution is compliant i.e., enhancing monitoring and observability of solution.
• Extending solution to offer greater functionality or managed experience.
• Individually design, build, deploy and showcase prototype applications.

Skillsets

• AWS Foundational or Associate Level Certification
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless and fully managed services.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language – Python
• Understanding of cloud computing architecture and design principles
• Understanding of AWS IoT solutions for timeseries data is a nice to have.
• Understanding of Source Code Management (Git)
• A passion for applying science and creativity for a better world and a drive to continuously learn and grow.
• Ability to evaluate, integrate and scale opensource software from official documentation.
• Building creative presentations with relevant data points.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student with educational concentration in Computer Science, Statistics, Cognitive Science, Data Science, Machine Learning or related field.
• Ability to develop code using Python.
• Academic and/or professional experience with machine learning research on real-world problems and data is a plus.
• Understanding of AWS cloud services, cloud-native architectures, and cloud infrastructure.
• Creative problem-solver with a passion for using cloud technology to make a positive impact.
• Continuous learner, always looking for ways to better understand a problem and experiment with solutions. Eager to learn and stay up to date with the latest developments in the cloud computing field, and passionate about using technology to enhance the quality of life for people everywhere.
• Excellent communicator comfortable working with cross-functional teams to reduce ambiguity and drive projects forward. When posed with technical complexities, you can clearly articulate and communicate the rationale behind design choices made and chalk out the path forward.
• Ability to translate technical blueprints to deployable architectures. Expected to be well versed in referencing and comprehending AWS documentation and translating them to technical deliverables required to realize the usage of the AWS service.
