As Global Product Manager in our Animal Nutrition business, you will be responsible for our Health product portfolio (mainly probiotics), with the primary goals of meeting cost, quality, and profitability targets, and ensuring continuity of supply.



  • Lead the global product planning, management, and execution for Health throughout the product life cycle.
  • Develop annual product/asset strategy, in collaboration with key functions such as Supply, Regulatory and Sales
  • Lead cross-functional teams on projects to reduce product cost, release capacity and/or improve quality/safety
  • Manage projects to commercialize new products (as Commercial Project Lead)
  • Lead the product management actions related to new product launch and commercialization 
  • Execute product initiation requests, process change requests and phase outs as required
  • Maintain product documentation to reflect changing regulatory approvals (QA letter, label/PD with QA/Reg, follow up SAP code setup) 
  • Manage all Madison strains, capacity issues and the relationship with legacy N&H/Human Health
  • Participate in supply/capacity planning process to ensure business needs are considered
  • Maintain close support of key stakeholders in the Probiotics Supply organization
  • Prioritize and maintain oversight of stability suites, in collaboration with Animal Nutrition Probiotic Support Specialist
  • Work with Regional Industry Leaders and Key Account Managers on product issues, allocation, as required
  • Develop product solutions with applications, sales team and key account managers
  • Develop and execute product margin optimization plans in collaboration with business and Supply 
  • Member of Business Integration Team, as it relates to product management
  • Develop strategy on product and SKU rationalization
  • Develop forecast and demand plans, in collaboration with Regional Industry Leaders, Sales and Supply
  • Reconcile global sales orders and forecast demand with production schedule and logistics
  • Review and optimize global supply chain routes and corresponding production locations
  • Collaborate with Supply organization to ensure timely capacity expansion is available to support growth plans
  • Manage customer product-related requests and sampling program
  • Define metrics and measures to gauge the health of the product line and provide insights on how to differentially manage the product line to drive results

Job Requirements

  • Degree in a STEM field (engineering/life sciences). MBA is desirable, but not essential.
  • 5-10 years product / project management experience in a matrix organization, with a strong technical focus. 
  • Animal Nutrition industry experience preferred. International experience preferred.
  • Experience in a life-sciences or ingredients business and leading cross-functional project teams desired 
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Tenacious, positive, proactive (self-starter)
  • Excellent communications (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Willing to travel up to 10%-20%, to understand market needs and build network
